CamSoda has become something of a juggernaut in the world of webcam sites. They’ve only been around since 2015, but have shown consistent strong year-on-year growth. While their model catalog may not be as large as some of the older sites, there’s a ton to offer here, including fully-explicit free shows that are tip-based. They have a good range of features, and there are usually plenty of models on getting down and dirty with themselves or each other for your viewing and interaction pleasure.

CamSoda is owned and operated by Secure Live Media, a Delaware corporation, based in Florida, US, with offices in the US and the UK. CamSoda is their sole site. Camsoda Chat Costs

CamSoda is a draw for many models because of their high model payouts. Where some sites provide the models with 30-35% on average of the tokens or credit value that is spent on them by customers, CamSoda averages 50%+ on the low-end, with more active models averaging even higher. This isn’t strictly relevant to users, of course, but it is nice to know that models on CamSoda are getting a proportionally bigger cut of your spending than the company itself. It’s an incentive to spend more time (and money) at CamSoda, in our opinion, over some other sites.

Below, you’ll find a listing of the token packages and payment options. New users can get 200 tokens for free one time, without even making a purchase. You can also get 200 credits for free with the purchase of a premium membership (more on that at the end of this section). Like most sites, the more you buy at once, the cheaper the cost per token works out to be. Also as is typical, credit card purchases are cheaper than PayPal, since PayPal charges merchants a higher rate than most major credit card processors. By far the cheapest cost per token can be found in the wire transfer option, but it requires a minimum $400 purchase, which is outside the range of what most people are looking to spend.

The range of costs for shows are entirely open, at the model’s discretion, from 0 tokens per minute to whatever they want to charge as a maximum. However, we’ve used the default low and high-end averages that CamSoda themselves provide as a reference for new models to determine the average show cost ranges listed in the chart below. Ticket Shows, of course, do not have a per minute price, but rather a set cost per entrant for however long a show the model wishes to perform (disclosed in advance).

Membership at CamSoda comes in three flavors. Unregistered accounts (free), Basic accounts (also free, but signed up with a username and email address), and Premium accounts. Premium accounts are $19.95/month, and provide a one-time bonus of 200 tokens, in addition to removing ads on the site, allowing adjustment of tip volume, and private messaging with models.

Model Manifest

Sexy Systems

The site runs well, with lots of video streams to browse, and no discernable lag during browsing, searching for models via tags or category tabs, and so on. The same is true in video chats – no buffering, lag, or other issues. Things run pretty smoothly at CamSoda.

The chat interface is pretty easy-to-use and similar to many other webcam chat sites. It’s a bit more colorful, and there are ads on the site if you’re not Premium, which can be a bit distracting. However, it’s easy to go fullscreen, and even Basic accounts can do that – just focusing on the model and her performance. If you want to tip, use the text chat, see the model’s tip goals, rate the model, see her videos or photos available for purchase, setup alerts for when she’s online, go private, send a private message (Premium users only), and so on, all those options are visible and easy to find.

While we’d like to see a more robust and detailed filtering system or advanced search, the category tabs, as well as standard and custom tags, can help you hone in on the models you like to watch quite easily. And once you’ve found them, you can always add them to your favorites, so they’re easy to find again. There are 15 category tabs at the top, encompassing the different types of shows, pornstars, featured and new performers, the different genders, and so on. Also present are a few tag tabs, and the ability to go view all the tags. Tags can be custom-made or use the default library, so there are several hundred of them. But, for practical purposes, all the major tags you’d expect are present, and encompass the lion’s share of models on the site. You can search for a tag by name, or simply browse the database, whatever you’d like. And of course, there’s always the direct search by name if you know the model you are looking for, or the ability to browse streams at your leisure.

Cam Climax

Pros:

• Decent catalog of models, with more added all the time
• All the typical cam site features as well as some interactive and unique innovations
• Several show types and options to work with any budget
• Lots and lots of free, tip-based, explicit performances available
• Simple, clean site interface
• Chat interface has lots of options available, or can just go fullscreen to focus on the model and her performance
• Token costs work out to be about average, or even a bit below, many other webcam sites
• Models make a larger percentage of token value spent by customers than on many other sites

Cons:

• Private show costs can add up quickly
• Private show pricing is variable per model
• While you have to do some math to convert token costs to real world currency, the range is not huge, with $0.10-0.11 being average, and fairly easy to convert. Still, it’s not as crystal clear as sites that use real world currency, so we have to make it a con.
• Could be more filtering or advanced search options for things like age, ethnicity, body type, and so on.

CamSoda isn’t perfect, there are definitely a few things they could improve. But considering that they’ve only been around for 3 years, there’s a lot going on here that’s worthy of praise. We’re particularly impressed at how high their payouts are to models. For viewers, this means more of what you spend on the site goes to the models. At least for us, this is an incentive to spend more time and money on CamSoda than other sites – after all, the models are what it’s all about! There’s a good catalog here, though it’s mostly women – if you’re after guys or transsexuals, it’s hit or miss. The site interface is fairly simple and easy-to-use, though ads can be a bit annoying (they go away for Premium members). Otherwise, the site runs well, and offers lots of features and options. CamSoda chat costs are comparable to most other sites, and even slightly less in a lot of cases – the spy/voyeur mode can be a great way to get a lot of action for just a small amount of money. What’s more – and we can’t stress this enough – there are TONS of models doing explicit tip-based shows all the time. Don’t be a mooch or freeloader and watch the shows without tipping, though – especially when you can get 200 free credits when you sign up.
